The Old Millhouse Dalkeith
Scottish Elopement – Nothing Fancy Just Love
Leanne and Rhys decided to get married in the presence of only a handful nearest and dearest. It was a secret affair and none of their friends knew about the plans. This remote Scottish location in the heart of Midlothian became their dream destination. I was delighted to hear that they decided to go with my relaxed and story-telling wedding photography approach!
The Old Millhouse became their Scottish Dream Venue
The stunning Old Millhouse in Dalkeith near Edinburgh was home for Leanne and Rhys for a week. This historic wedding venue offers both: beautiful interiors with spacious rooms and stunning gardens. Leanne and Rhys decided to take advantage of the breath-taking, autumnal outdoors and tied the knot in the surroundings of the golden trees. The quietly running through the grounds river was singing calmly during and after the ceremony.
There was so much magic and lovely energy that day!
We loved photographing this intimate boho wedding!
The wedding coordinator Johanne and her team made sure everything worked perfectly. Leanne and Rhys came all the way from the south of England but they included a few Scottish traditions in their ceremony. They shared a drink from a Quaich, they tied the symbolic knot, they also had a ring warming ceremony to make sure their wedding bands were warmed and good wishes passed onto them.
Kind words – Testimonials
As much as I loved documenting this exceptional and relaxed wedding, I was delighted to hear that the clients’ loved the outcome!
