Sophie and Paul – The Principal Blythswood Square Hotel

The Principal Blythswood Square Hotel
Sophie and Paul had a wonderful wedding day. For their ceremony and reception they chose one of the most stunning hotels in Glasgow, The Principal Blythswood Square Hotel.
The day was very bright. The weather couldn’t decide if it’s to be sunny, rainy, snowy or windy and in the end through it all in. But it didn’t stop us from going outside for photographs. As The Blythswood Square Hotel offers exceptional interiors, we took advantage of the foyer, staircase, front steps, reception rooms. The Principal’s exquisite interior created a dreamy location for our photographs.
The morning was extremely busy. The bridal preparations room was filled with chats and laughter of the bride, her four bridesmaids and three most adorable flower-girls. More and more closest family members were joining us and gasping at the bride and her stunning dress. One or two emotional tears rolled down the cheek, happiness filled their hearts. Sophie couldn’t stop smiling. The flowergirls couldn’t wait to put their breath-taking dresses on, the bridesmaids were nearly ready too. It was Sophie’s day, but she didn’t forget about anybody. Her kindness was overwhelming. Before leaving the bridal room, the bridesmaids and flower girls received gifts of appreciation from the bride. The little girls’ joy and excitement was never-ending.
Finally the time of the ceremony came. Paul couldn’t wait to see his bride. The Cairn String Quartet played gently in the background. First the bridesmaids and flower-girls, then Sophie entered. Some more emotional tears, deep breaths… it was happening…
The ceremony was wonderful. With an emotional reading by the groom’s mum and the couple’s vows, this short half an hour became very deep and personal.
The weather continued its disco outside with bright patches of sun, short moments of cloudy darkness, snowy episodes, windy howls, back to the sunny brightness. Trying to keep up with the sudden changes of light and the right setting in my camera, I was really enjoying being a part of this special moment of Sophie and Paul.
The day was absolutely wonderful. But what’s also great about The Principal Blythswood Square Hotel is that it has their own cinema! What’s best for tired children than a great movie and popcorn? For those who still are deciding on their wedding venue, The Principal is definitely a serious option.
