Why a pre-wedding session is a good idea?
Christie and Connor decided to go ahead with their pre-wedding session on nearly the top of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh and it was a great decision! Although, you can never plan the weather, you can prepare for any type of it. Late summer, rich greenery, wild winds, peaceful evening and stories about them: how they met, connected and how they are getting ready for their life together. It’s not just that. You will receive a full gallery of your engagement photographs! Why not using them to make your personalised ‘Save the date’ cards, social media announcements or your wedding website?
We take dozens of phone photographs daily. Selfies, pets, food, kids, moments. Our phones are filled with snaps and we tend to forget about them shortly after we take them. Professional engagement session will make you feel excited, relaxed and special in that very moment. Moreover, you will be sent a gallery of high resolution photographs, lovely memories that will be precious now and in years too come. It will most likely be your last session together as ‘not-yet-married’ couple. It’s purely just a fun shoot full of movement, nature, dynamics and laughter.
Fettes College Wedding
Christie and Connor planned their wedding at the breath-taking Fettes College in Edinburgh. With the venue’s historic walls, soulful libraries, atmospheric chapel and beautiful gardens we were spoilt for choices during our photographs. Now looking back at two sets of photographs Christie and Connor received I see how different the galleries were. The pre-wedding session gallery was light, carefree, easy-going, flawless. In the wedding photography you will normally see the stressful moments of the morning, pre-ceremony time, sometimes chaotic, emotional, structured, meticulously planned. Stay tuned for more from this stunning wedding!
When is best to book a pre-wedding session?
You may wonder when’s the best time to book your engagement session and what locations are best for it. You can start planning your shoot once you have booked us! The earlier the better really because you will then be able to use your engagement photographs for different personal purposes. Some couples bring meaningful gadgets to the session, but most of them want just the most natural photographs. Something that would remind them of the sunny and breezy, cool and easy time before marriage.
Edinburgh will spoil you for locations. Christie and Connor chose Arthur’s Seat in the heart of Holyrood Park. Other popular locations are Calton Hill, Blackford Hill, Princes Street Gardens, Deans Village, the beach or Pentland Hills, just outside of Edinburgh.
