DIY wedding Edinburgh – Stunning and unique wedding organised in the bride’s parents’ garden.
DIY Wedding with lots of heart, art and creativity
Naivasha and Gas got married in the middle of the summer. It was going to be a beautiful day. And it was. Definitely the most beautiful hand-crafted and DIY wedding I photographed last year.
I met Naivasha and Gus at one of my wedding exhibitions in Edinburgh. After a very relaxed chat and seeing my work in prints and albums they asked me to photograph their wedding photographer. I couldn’t wait for the wedding of this relaxed, creative and happy couple! I was excited to hear that the wedding was going to happen on the grounds of Naivasha’s parents’ property. The beautiful, patiently nurtured by Mum and Dad gardens and a tastefully decorated house created magical surroundings for the big day!
That Sunny Wedding Day in July
The day itself was glorious, sunny from the start to the very last minute! The groom and groomsmen were ready in time and welcomed all arriving guests. The girls were sipping champagne and enjoyed every second of the slow and relaxed morning.
I took a walk to photograph the gardens and captured all hand-crafted wedding accessories and decorations. The garden looked magical. So much heart and effort put into creating the perfect day: colourful lanterns, the wooden board with the schedule of the day, the sitting plan, table decorations and favours… All wedding details were just perfect, like the whole day was. Absolutely wonderful time for Naivasha and Gus, filled with sunshine, laughter and fabulous food!
