Emma and Dale – The Principal Hotel Edinburgh George Street Wedding

I met Emma and Dale last year. They told me all about their wedding plans and what they had already organised for their Principal Hotel Edinburgh George Street wedding. I was delighted to hear they had decided to have me as their wedding photographer.
Emma and Dale’s wedding package included two photographers on the wedding day, wedding albums, prints and their engagement session. We finally met again about one month before the wedding for some pre-wedding shooting and final talks about the wedding. Emma was very organised. Weeks before the wedding she already had most of her wedding details  arranged and finalised.

The day finally arrived. It was a sunny Friday and we knew it would be a magical day for this lovely couple. Wedding preparations went smoothly with me capturing the special moments of the bride’s last hesitation moments (no, there weren’t any), smiles, jokes, floss dancing and butterflies. The groom’s preparations were shot by my fellow photographer. Their great sense of humour, dancing and laughing never ended. Emma and Dale’s ceremony was short, but beautiful and emotional. The day was still warm, but the dramatic clouds rushed us to go to the secret and flooded with daisies Queen Street Gardens for our formal photographs. We only managed to get back to the Principal Hotel when a sudden downpour started to fill the streets of Edinburgh. We continued our formal photographs taking advantage of the interior of this beautiful and unique wedding venue.

A few quick tequilas for the bridal party and they were ready for their speeches. The Best Man, Groom, Bride of Honour and The Bride – emotional and funny speeches from the guys, deep and strong words from the ladies. Everybody enjoyed the beautiful and thankful words of the special couple and their party. The rest was just an absolute dreamy fun: sparklers, cutting of the delicious cake, magical confetti on the dance floor, romantic first dance and many dances after… The rest is just a very happy life together!
