Getting up very early to meet the sun when it wakes up is precious. Getting up early for a sunrise photography session with a gorgeous Spanish couple at the stunning Playa de la Malvarrosa in Valencia is indescribable! It may not be the easiest to set an alarm clock for an incredibly early morning hour, but it is tremendously worth it! All colours of warmth, silence, not a soul on the beach, just a gentle sound of the ocean waves.
It was another wonderful experience seeing how quickly the sun wanders. Leticia and Javier had chosen their favourite location for the session. When we started to shoot, we only had a gentle glow from behind the palm trees. Literally a few minutes after, a huge, orange, and warm light was shining from behind the couple. Throughout the time of our photography session, I had Bill Withers’ song in my mind:
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
It’s not warm when she’s away
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And she’s always gone too long
Anytime she goes away…

I got back to my Spanish apartment after two hours of relaxed shooting and I must tell you, there’s nothing better than a morning coffee and a fresh pastry on a sunny balcony overlooking the waking city.
