Engagement session Greyfriers Kirk Edinburgh
Fun Engagement Session in the heart of Edinburgh
Holli and Paul messaged me at the start of this year. They were looking for a wedding photographer for their fun, relaxed and low key wedding in 2016. The engagement session Edinburgh took place near Lothian Chambers and in the Greyfriers Kirk grounds. They had already seen my website and fell in love with the documentary and story-telling photography style. As they say about themselves, they are massive romantics and hopelessly mushy about each other. I thought it was a great start! We arranged a meeting in town, talked a bit about the wedding plans and expectations and quickly arranged a date for our engagement session. Finally, we met at their chosen location, Grayfriars Kirk and in spite of the weather, we had lots of fun. Have a look at the beautiful and happy couple.
Why do we think an engagement session is beneficial
Engagement sessions are always great fun. They give the couple a chance to get to know their photographer, and the photographer to find out more about the couple. During those sessions the couples are quite relaxed (it’s not yet their wedding day!), even if they don’t like being photographed, by the end of our pre-wedding session, they normally feel fairly comfortable with the camera. In addition, on their special day, they will know exactly what to expect from me and what I’ll be doing. It’s an important factor to have trust in your wedding photographer, and pre-wedding sessions are great for the trust and a start to a fantastic cooperation to be established.
