Carrick Castle Spectacular Scottish Wedding in a luxury lodge
Exactly one year ago, in May 2022, we attended a wonderful wedding celebration at the stunning Carrick Castle Estate in Scotland. Rachel and Roddy exchanged their vows in a beautiful and secluded location that left us in awe. The owner of the beautiful wedding estate offered us a little safari ride and it was just a shoot on another level. Lochs, rivers, hills, woods, we had it all and it couldn’t have been any more magical.
Outdoor ceremony – wedding location with a perfect view
It was a drizzly morning. Until the very last moment we were all worried that the outdoor ceremony won’t go ahead as planned. Fortunately, the sky cleared, the rain stopped and a we started to see some shy rays of light.
As the bride gets ready in her bridal suite, her emotional father waits outside. He was nervous but excited to walk his daughter down the aisle. The big moment finally arrives. The aisle is beautifully decorated with floral arrangements by helensburgh_flowers, and the bride and her father make their way down it, surrounded by the love and support of their family and friends. Dad quickly wipes this lonely tear rolling down his cheek, Rachel smiles enthusiastically, Roddy is thrilled seeing his bride. Pure magic!
Wedding smoke bombs, sparklers and confetti – they had it all!
From smoke bombs to safari rides and sparklers, the couple truly had it all. The beautiful and exotic trip around the grounds and further afield for our wedding couple formal portraits was an adventure. Armelle from Armelle Films and I got the VIP seats at the open back of the retro truck. The equipment and us survived and we finished with a huge, fabulous material. The natural wedding couple portraits were followed by the Rachel and Roddy’s family and friends group photographs back at the Carrick Castle Estate in front of the breath-taking Loch Goil.
