Cloie and Sam got engaged in June, but they decided to have their engagement session taken in the early autumn. As neither of them was from Edinburgh, I suggested a few of the most attractive locations in the heart of Scotland. In the end, we decided to have a Holyrood Park engagement session. You don’t need to reach the top of Arthur’s Seat to have the most stunning view over Edinburgh. Calton Hill, Edinburgh Castle, the Scottish Parliament, and Dynamic Earth—all those uniquely beautiful buildings are right there behind you.
The sun was going down when we met. A beautiful, clear sky over Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat created a perfect setting for our session, even though it was windy and cool. We took a walk to the top of one of the small hills and then near the St. Anthony’s Chapel ruins. They told me all about how they met and how exciting it was for them to be in Edinburgh. Cloie came to Scotland all the way from Tennessee and Sam was from the north of England. It was a truly perfect day!
