Surprise Proposal and Engagement Session at Conic Hill, Loch Lomond

Photographers in Edinburgh

I love surprise proposal shoots. Unique and candid from start to finish. They’re always great.  But this one was absolutely epic. A bumpy trip with my amazing friend and second shooter to the covered in clouds, still beautiful Conic Hill at Loch Lomond. The wind, horizontal rain, walking up the hill fully geared… Legendary. But absolutely worth it. For the man who proposed to his girlfriend at the top of the hill. A surprise proposal shoot, a fiddle man and an engagement ring hidden in a piece of a beautifully carved wood.

Ruben and Oliver – Christmas lifestyle session

It’s the biggest pleasure when your old clients invite you over and over again into their houses and into their lives. I first met Oliver and Ruben when they were very little. Ruben was only a new-born baby and Oliver was a lively toddler. Our initial new-born session quickly transformed into a fully blown toddler’s portrait session.  That was back in 2015.  Now the same family invited me again to take some Christmas pictures of them decorating their Christmas tree. I know sometimes it’s not easy to smile on your wedding day. You’ve lots on your mind. You worry about the details, the guests, the dress, the weather, the timings…

There’s a whole list of things to worry about. I’ve been there too. I worried about the details, the guests, the weather, the timings… But I still encourage my couples to relax, to let go. Especially on the day. Worry before, if you must. On the day, there’s really no need or time for it. Sometimes things go wrong, the dress gets ruined, the weather isn’t pefect, the make up artist is late… There’s not much you can do then and there, but relax. Enjoy yourself. Have a glass of Prosecco. Or two. Smile and the photos will smile back to you a thousand of times more. For the rest of your life. Isn’t it better to look  at your smiles than at your worries? It’s just one day. Make the most of it. Read more

Wedding Day at Eskmills Venue

Edinburgh wedding photographer

It was a very windy day. When you plan your wedding, you always worry about the weather. Especially, when you’re located in Edinburgh. But Susan and Ramsay were lucky. It was a lovely day. But windy. But after all, it’s always better to get wind than rain, right? So there. (You can tell, my glass is always half full.) Read more

Doreen and Chi

Mirror and inside a happy, newly married couple, Experienced Wedding Photographers Edinburgh

There’s nothing like spontaneous weddings! I’ve had a few of them and all of them were a total success! So was Doreen and Chi’s quiet, beautiful wedding celebration. The bride to be messaged me just a short time before the wedding. It was all to happen on the last Wednesday of March. We exchanged a few phone calls, planned the details and both looked forward to the day. Read more
